Common pests, quick guidance
Mosquitoes
Breed in standing water. Remove stagnant water weekly; treat larvae with an IGR or temephos, and knock down adults with a residual spray or fogging.

Hide in warm, damp gaps near kitchens and drains. Gel baits work best for German roaches; pair with a residual spray for heavy infestations.

Mud tubes and hollow wood are early signs. New builds need pre-construction soil treatment (IS 6313) or a reticulation system; existing buildings need post-construction treatment.
Termite & reticulation โRats & rodents
Follow droppings and gnaw marks to runways. Use tamper-resistant bait stations with anticoagulant or zinc-phosphide baits, placed along walls.

Found in mattress seams and cracks. Treat all harbourages with a residual insecticide; repeat after 10โ14 days to catch newly hatched bugs.

Physical exclusion is the lasting fix. Bird netting seals balconies and shafts; invisible grills protect windows without blocking the view.
